Custody Settlement Head, VP
Responsibilities:
Custody Department being part of Custody Investment Operations provides fee-based services for settlement and safekeeping securities in markets such as SGX and foreign markets. It also acts as a settlement bank for the regulated schemes, i.e. CPF Investment Scheme – Ordinary Account and Supplementary Retirement Scheme accounts.
As a Custody Settlement Head, you will report to the Head of Custody and will oversee the Settlement functions including Custody Settlement and CPFIS/SRS Settlement.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for the settlement in different markets covering a spectrum of products and securities including Equities, Bonds, Notes, Unit Trusts, Insurance, Deposits and so forth.
- Design, review and optimize resources for operational efficiency and productivity with the objective of streamlining and improving workflow processes and managing projects.
- Build strong working relationship with business units and financial institutional clients to ensure better co-operation and cohesiveness.
- Work closely with Division/Department to carry out strategic business and operations initiatives.
Requirements:
- A recognized Degree in Banking with minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in the settlement of custody products in Singapore and foreign markets.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management and system re-engineering/enhancements.
- Strong knowledge of MAS/SGC regulatory requirements, regulated schemes such as CPFIS / SRS scheme, Custody business in Singapore and foreign markets as well as general banking operations in Singapore.
- Proven strong management, organizational and operations skills.
