As Senior Customer Analyst you will be responsible for producing analysis that is timely, accurate, insightful, actionable, and closely matched to our clients’ needs. You will be able to complete this work with limited guidance and will take a key role in the design of analysis projects. You will enjoy with working with a range of data and demonstrating your findings to clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

·         Design, brief and perform analysis using transactional and loyalty card data to understand what motivates customers, and how to redefine the client’s business processes as a result.

·         Segmentation, targeting models and predictive modelling will be some of the tools you’ll have at your disposal to achieve this.

·         Translate customer insights into easy to understand actions to support better front-line decision-making across the clients’ organization - marketing, merchandising and regional division operations.

·         Commitment to delivering implementable solutions, not just facts or insight.

·         Establishing a close working relationship with the client will be key to your success, since you’ll need to collect essential information and ensure that methodologies and processes are shared and understood.

·         You will need to be rigorous in ensuring that your work is of the necessary high quality for the level of business decision making you will drive. You’ll also need to be organized in planning the workflow and juggling priorities. Your input will affect the overall client strategy, and you may be required to lead the development of analytical approaches for new clients in the future.

·         You will be joining a team of industry experts, widely known for their experience in customer centric retailing and their skills in driving business change through customer insight.

·         Support for the use of our proprietary tools ensuring their integration into the marketing and category management processes at the client.

·         Support training programs/demo’s and materials to launch our tools into the clients business processes.

·         Provide support when needed for other team members in the delivery of a larger work plan.

·         Your analytical expertise will be a key ingredient in driving this process further, whilst you will reap the benefit of this experience in developing your own skills.

 

Key Skills

·         Data manipulation – used to analysing large volumes of data and a solid understanding of database principles and efficiencies required.

·         Technical – Use of a SAS package required, as a senior analyst you would be expected to have experience of the Macro Facility

·         Project Planning – capable of planning and managing analytical components of projects to ensure deadlines are met.

·         Advanced statistics – using clustering, regression and other multivariate techniques.

·         Presentational – familiar with PowerPoint and capable of developing and delivering presentations to the client

·         Written communication – creating of clear, concise and actionable materials for the client.

·         Able to influence across all levels within an organization.

·         Ability to adapt to change in client expectations and working under tight deadlines.

·         Self starter, able to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision.

·         Willingness to travel, occasionally over several days

 

Educational Qualifications Experience

·         Achieved good bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

·         Some analytical experience using SAS or equivalent.

·         Proven ability to generate actionable insight out of data.

·         Proven ability to develop innovative analytical solutions to business problems.

·         Experience of communicating complex topics clearly and effectively to a non analytical audience.

·         Familiarity with retail, and particularly supermarket retail data would be beneficial.
