Customer Demand Analyst Job in Sarasota 34240, Florida US

Develop appropriate relationships with vendors/customers/operations providing customer service and logistical support to facilitate a mutually beneficial business relationship.  Work with Forecasting Manager  and rest of team to generate a 12 month rolling forecast for assigned accounts to ensure inventory targets are maintained and service levels are met. 

Assist with Forecasting

·     Analyze periodic reports, including POS, historical sales, customer forecasts, seasonality, and market trends, to make recommendations for forecasting purposes.

·    Cross trained to enter data, perform calculations, review, update, and publish monthly forecast.

·    Collaborates with Sales Directors to generate a rolling 12 month Sales Forecast

·    Work with account and sales team to create and forecast  promotional calendar

·    Identify gaps between sales orders and forecast data via Sales Order on Hold Report and communicate information to Sales and marketing.

·    Key participant in weekly SOP meetings

 

Inventory Management

·    Responsible for maintaining inventory targets by product category and customer, while ensuring supply is adjusted on a monthly basis to support inventory goals.

·    Responsible for maintaining  product lifecycle codes and end of life process

·    Manages the Excess Obsolescence (EO) program for assigned accounts while working with Sales, Production Planning, Finance and external liquidators to minimize scrap.

·    Planning Improvements, including rework processes. Working with IT on additional system improvements to enhance planning requirements.

 

Order Fulfillment

·    Ensures customer requirements compliance according to customer profile for assigned accounts.

·    Performs daily customer open order review to ensure delivery compliance per required commitment dates. Maintains due dates to provide delivery schedule priority to shipping area.

·    Resolves customer inquiries working together with the internal Sales and Finance teams to resolve any issues with customers or their representatives. 

·    Collects customer data to improve service, increase sales, and investigate non-compliance issues with customers. 

·    Follows up with respective internal departments and/or individuals to ensure future compliance.  

·    Communicates to Sales and Operations all short of lead time customer requests.

·    Initiate product development notifications (PDN) and route to operations. 

·    Other duties as assigned.

 

Sales Staff Support

·         Assist the Sales Staff in the daily management of assigned accounts in a Retail environment.

·         Works with the Product Category Managers in development of product strategies for specific accounts.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or similar field or equivalent work experience is required.

 

Experience

Should have 3+ years previous experience in a similar role. The use of MRPII, MRP/ERP systems, databases and spreadsheets is required.

     

Skills Abilities

·         Must have strong analytical skills and forecasting skills.

·         Should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), and enjoy working with a diverse customer and employee base.

·         Should be highly proficient in the use of computer systems including MS Office and Outlook, with strong emphasis on MS Excel.

·         Previous use of MRP/ERP systems and/or other databases a plus. 

·         Should be able to deal with semi-stressful situations involving problems with multiple variables in a wide range of situations.

·         Should be highly organized, a self starter able to prioritize and carry out multiple functions simultaneously.

·         Knowledge of manufacturing organization structure, policies, and procedures preferred.
