Description
The individual in this position is charged with offering excellent support to our Introducing Broker/Dealers and customers. The primary responsibilities include reviewing processing Asset Management Account applications and supporting documentation in order to establish check writing and/or debit card privileges for brokerage accounts. He or She will also be responsible for replying to incoming service center requests, phone calls, faxes and emails from Introducing Broker/Dealers. Inquiries will include new account openings, retrieving check copies from various banks image files, account transfers, cash/margin inquiries, general account maintenance, documentation inquiries, resolving time sensitive issues and suggesting implementing process improvements and assisting the Fraud Area in filing Incident Reports and dispute case files.
Ideal candidates will have knowledge of the securities and banking industries, demonstrate strong customer service skills including verbal and written communication, have strong listening skills and the ability to demonstrate empathy. In order to be effective and excel in the position, associates are required to have or acquire a detailed understanding of the business area, as well as the departments policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- College degree and 2+ years work experience in a related brokerage environment preferred.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills a must.
- Client facing experience desired.
