As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now including the Customer Quality Engineer position at our facility in Earth City, MO. OBJECTIVE: Responsible for product excellence and implementation of quality assurance programs to provide defect free products to all customers. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for meeting./ exceeding customer quality metrics to ensure customer preferred supplier status Conducts monthly customer quality reviews with customers and internal B/E organization Drives root cause corrective actions (RCCA) with customers, suppliers and internal B/E organization Conducts Corrective Actions Board (CAB) with customers Ensures RCCA meet customer requirements and response time Lead all on customer scorecards metrics to achieve a 100% rating Assist and facilitate continual improvement efforts both internally and externally on customer quality processes Leads all purge activities and ensure containment is within 48 hours globally. Makes final disposition on product non-conformances. Works with customer on RMA product and submits documents for MRB approval Active member of the Product Integrity Committee Assists Quality Management with internal, customer and third party audits and assessments. Writes quality plans, sampling plans, and inspections plans for customer products Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field Minimum five years of Quality Engineering experience Strong Problem solving skills with over 3 years of writing and approving Corrective actions. Effective written and verbal communication skills including presentations. Must be able to write and present standard technical reports to peers, management and customers. Proficient in understanding and interpreting engineering specifications, and drawings Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems including ISO9001 and AS9100 Must be able to work in teams Must be advanced in MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Must have Aerospace Industry Knowledge ADDITIONAL CRITERIA: Knowledge of Lean Principles Direct customer interface Professional quality certifications ( ASQ-CQE,CQA) Six Sigma certified Strong knowledge of FAA regulations
