Customer Service Representative

Suburban Propane has an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in our Distribution Center in Hartsville, SC. Your overall responsibilities will include handling all administrative and operational procedures to include: responding to all inbound and outbound service/delivery related calls; investigating and resolving customer concerns and complaints; scheduling service appointments/deliveries and forecasting and maintaining routes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Suburban’s products and services and promotes them to customers and potential customers.
- Develop trusting relationships through all client contacts; presents self professionally, with poise, confidence and enthusiasm.
- Provide high levels of customer account management by properly maintaining account information and data
- Capture cross-selling opportunities by suggesting other related products and services
- Forecast and maintains routes to maximize manpower, tank and vehicle utilization and ensure delivery efficiencies.
- Plan and schedule daily service work to maximize billable time and meet productivity goals.
- Follows up on service/delivery failure to reassure the customer and ensure cutomer satisfaction
- Coordinates with Customer Service Center (CSC) personnel to adjust to routing or issues as appropriate
Requirements:
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent training and experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- At least 2 years of experience in a customer service or call center environment
- Solid data entry abilities
- The ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments
