Job ID :PC 829 - 63988 POSITION OBJECTIVE : This position is responsible for the professional and efficient servicing of all walk-in and telephone customers in the rental and sale of construction/industrial equipment and related store items. This position is considered the Company's front line contact with the customer. Persons occupying this position must display a courteous, helpful and professional attitude at all times. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : - Qualify customer needs. Using the computer system, selects equipment/merchandise from inventory and secures for rental/purchase. - Responsible for Inside Sales - Provide alternative equipment suggestions to customers based upon information obtained. - Enter customer orders into the computerized rental system. - For equipment that is unavailable at the store location, perform research to determine when the equipment will become available. - Handle customer complaints in a professional manner in order to resolve the complaint to the satisfaction of the customer and Sunbelt Rentals. - Provide adequate notice to Dispatch and Service Departments for upcoming equipment requirements. - Load and unload equipment. - Deliver and pick up equipment. - Perform basic maintenance to equipment. - Perform prospecting calls. - Stock and maintain store showroom merchandise. - Reviews daily management reports to ensure and provides regular feedback to store manager regarding fleet and merchandise inventory, as well as pricing. - Orders and receives equipment and merchandise. - Supports management in the training of other employees. - Follow Standard Operating Procedures. - Other duties as assigned by manager. - Responsible for Dispatch duties. Requirements : - High school diploma or G.E.D. required - College degree a plus; may be substituted for 3 year industry experience requirement. EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS : - Active applicable state class driver license. - Must be at least 21 years old. - Successful completion of the Department of Transportation Qualification process. - Effective written and oral communication skills. - At lease 3 years of equipment rental industry experience or a 4 year college degree. - Lift, bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch and kneel. Sit or stand for long periods of time. - Comprehensive knowledge of construction equipment and pricing policy - Experience in a Dispatcher role preferred.
