Customer Care Agent

Summary of Responsibilities:

The position is responsible for providing superior customer service for every customer that contacts the CustomerCareCenter.  The role consists of assisting customers with inquiries concerning account information and services that are offered by the organization.  Required skills include being receptive, competent and analytical to resolve customer related questions and issues.   The ideal candidate will be able to interact effectively with customers while providing a positive experience.

Essential Job Functions:

 

·         Answer incoming calls regarding general billing, service related and product questions

 

·         Analyze customer accounts and determine appropriate resolution

 

·         Process residential enrollments and applications for new customers

 

·         Process payments and service orders

 

·         Report power outages to TDU?s

 

·         Process returned mail

 

·         The ability to deal patiently with problems and complaints and to remain courteous when faced with difficult or angry customers

 

·         Performance which meets or surpasses Company goals related to quality, not ready time and schedule adherence 

 

Experience and Educational Requirements:

 

·         A minimum of one year current experience working with a retail electric provider

 

·         General understanding of the Texas deregulated electricity market

 

·         Must exhibit excellent customer service interpersonal skills

 

·         Must have the ability to communicate effectively with customers, both orally and written

 

·         Experience using telephone equipment, computers and various other office products such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

 

·         Excellent computer software navigation skills

 

·         Must be able to work in a fast paced call center environment

 

·         Ability to type a minimum of 45 words per minute

 

·         Excellent listening skills

 

·         Standard English proficiency is required

 

·         Be able to work a flexible schedule

 

·         Must be able to lift 25 pounds

 

·         Must be able to sit for 8  hours

 

Salary: $11-15/hr DOE
