Customer Service Representative & VPI Coordinator – 6 Month Fixed Term Job in Darlington DL14PW, Tyne

Working as part of the Materials Team, reporting to the Material Leader. Follows the customer order management process to facilitate successful order fulfillment for all customers in pursuit of plant and corporate OTD objectives. As VPI Change Coordinator will take the lead role from a materials and Supply Chain Perspective for CES for programs impacting on the materials function and area and to implement the Supply Chain Strategy for new products and changes to current products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Efficient customer order management through:
Use and maintenance of Oracle COM (schedule upload/maintenance, etc)
Active involvement in SOP process
Strong customer relationship management, internal and external
Support achievement of plant goals for customer on-time delivery through:
Reporting and development of plant customer OTD performance indicators
Creation and completion of corrective actions in support of TS16949 quality system processes
Improve functionality of Oracle MRP in pursuit of business targets
Coordinate order management in support of new model introduction activities.
Engage / communicate with key contacts and stakeholders
Internal external customers – regarding product, service and relationship management improvement (VOC)
Marketing – to coordinate pricing changes, new product introduction and relationship management improvements
Quality – Manage impact to customer delivery performance caused by Non-conforming materials
Engineering – Ensure on time introduction of new / changing parts in line with product introduction/change processes
CES management – In reporting of variety of information including: customer OTD, order management issues.
Main point of contact to support VPI, Engineering, Quality Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering Strategic Partner on Euro VI program
To implement the Supply Chain strategy for Euro VI and changes to current product from a supplier, customer and plant perspective
Liaise with Purchasing and engineering to ensure on time delivery of pre production and prototype materials
Manage and maintain the order board for pre production material and ensure order status is up to date.
To proactively support customers and suppliers on issues relating to preproduction materials
Manage product data management process e and ensure that all required data is in place for all parts prior to migration to volume productions systems
Responsible for ensuring the migration of all parts from preproduction systems to volume production systems in a timely manner and in line with the VPI/VPC process.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Essential:  GCSE Maths, GCSE English, Project Management Training,
• Optional: Professional qualifications, Degree Qualification

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Experience in Supply Chain functions
• Automotive background – preferable
• Experience working with teams
• High level understanding of business processes
• Knowledge and experience in working with Oracle GIEA ERP, Microsoft applications.
