Vanquis Bank, part of Provident Financial, operates from a modern, spacious contact centre located in the heart of Chatham Maritime.

We need people with excellent sales and customer service skills to join our Customer Service Sales Department on a  Fixed Term Contract basis.

Our Customer Service Department is at the hub of the contact centre and are responsible for all inbound customer enquiries so you will deal with a wide variety of calls ensuring our customers enjoy the high levels of service they have come to expect whilst managing their expectations. 

You will also be heavily involved in cross selling other Vanquis Bank products to suitable customers.  This is an integral part of the role.

Shifts:

Monday to Friday we are open between 8.00 am and 8.00 pm; you’ll be expected to be able to work a mixture of late and early shifts.  We are also open on Saturday between 9.00 am and 5.30 pm and you will be expected to work Saturdays as part of your shift pattern.

Skills and Experience

• You must be an effective communicator who enjoys building rapport with customers and demonstrating excellent Customer Services Skills.
• Experience of working in a sales environment is advantageous. 
• You will have excellent verbal and written command of the English Language
• You are driven by the achievement of personal and team goals and enjoy working in a target based environment
• You have good keyboard skills and the ability to think logically under pressure.
• You are able to work under pressure and thrive in a busy contact centre environment. 
• You must be a confident team player but also be able to work from your own initiative. 
• You must be able to demonstrate empathy and deal with our customers in a confident fashion.
• You must be able to follow guidelines and demonstrated you can adhere to all regulatory requirements including working from scripts. 
• You need to demonstrate a positive and professional attitude while at work.

We need people who are able to start with us on 27th February 2012, you must be available for a three week training period starting on that date.
