Principal Accountabilities:
1. Screen orders for stock availability, arrival dates, special handling requirements, and coordinate all order processing functions relating to customer order changes. Provide direction necessary to handle difficulties arising in the placement and delivery of orders in a timely and efficient manner. Coordinate the execution of the Mill Customer Pick Up Program.
2. Provide the Central Customer Service Team with the best possible information regarding stock, cuts and shipping delays. Be knowledgeable of customer orders that are in past scheduled ship date status and communicate this information to the Central Customer Service Team. Execute the prioritization guidelines for long term and short term stock and loading constraints.
3. Provide the Mill Distribution Team with the best possible information regarding promotional sales and marketing efforts and orders requiring special handling. Coordinate timing of production and shipments of the promotion.
4. Consolidate all on-time service reporting and report monthly to plant. Review orders and transfers for re-assignment to ship directly from outside co-packer. Work to minimize shuttle returns from outside co-packer, thus optimizing direct shipments.
5. Work with warehouse coordinator, ICC, and outside warehouse operating personnel to assure that finished product rollovers are effectively executed and obsolete inventory is minimized.
6. Adhere to consumer sales policies and customer service procedures to ensure accurate and consistent handling of orders.
7. Implement the policies, decisions, and plans developed by the central transportation unit, to ensure cost effective means of continuous improvement of customer service.
8. Review and authorize inbound freight bills, and TRAFAS data to ensure accurate and timely processing of these transactions.
9. Procure equipment from motor and rail carriers, and maintain trailer pools, to fully meet the needs of the mill (including coordination of United Parcel Service and export). Resolve transportation-related problems, including equipment supply for carriers, rail service, load scheduling, and identification of stock availability in support of mill operations and customer service.
