About the position…
· Your main aim will be to understand and communicate Customer requirements to internal departments and to ensure Customers are informed of actions being taken and timescales to resolve concerns or meet their needs.
· You will be happy to pick up the phone frequently to communicate with customers and deal with any difficulties and find a solution any problems.
· This is a very busy team and you must have the ability to deal with a large volume of customer calls covering a wide range requirements on a daily basis in a professional and efficient manner.
The duties…
· Manage the Customer interface e-mail boxes and ensure timely completion of order entry
· Ensure Customer order technical requirements are fully understood by internal departments
· Liaise with the Product Technical Support team where necessary to ensure Customer needs are met
· Ensure Customer Support Team Leader is fully appraised of Customer requirements and follow up actions on a daily basis
· Frequently telephone Customers to advise of progress on their issues / requirements
· Analyse Customer requirements and regularly review and improve working procedures to improve capacity and reduce lead times
· To take responsibility for allocated Customer accounts
· To provide input to ensure timely completion of quotations and organise export shipments.
The right person…
· Experienced in a customer support / service role within a manufacturing environment and able to understand manufacturing processes.
· You will be a pro-active person who can cope in a very busy customer service team and can efficiently deal with numerous calls covering a wide range of requirements.
· IT skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes.
· Excellent telephone manner and an excellent custoerm service mentality.
· Proactive with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
· Actively promote customers needs and identity areas of improvement in working practice.
