**THIS POSITION CAN BE BASED VIRTUAL OFFICE WITHIN THE CONTINENTAL U.S.**
Responsible for providing remote post-sales support of software and/or hardware systems, sub-systems and/or networks for customers or field personnel utilizing telephone and remote diagnostic capabilities. Supports end-user installations, configurations, upgrades, and migrations through problem isolation, verification, resolution and documentation. Viewed as an expert within the company. May include supporting 3rd party products and occasional on-site support. Work is performed with minimal direction and reviewed by senior management. This position requires a balance of soft skills and technical skills. This engineer should be able to balance multiple technical issues and work them to resolution. Provides second/third level technical support on ERS/ES/VSP products.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in networking technology
- 5 years experience in Avaya ERS (Ethernet Routing/Switching) or competitor equivalent
- Previous experience interacting with executive level clients
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work off hours as needed for maintenance
- 10% travel per year to client sites on "as needed" basis
