Customer Trainer Job in Calgary, Alberta Canada
Our client, a consulting firm in the energy sector, is seeking a Customer Trainer to join their team on a permanent basis. This position will be responsible for offering weekly training to customers as well as conducting training on-line and at the customer site.
Responsibilities Include:
- Instruct training courses
- Class prep: Review class content/curriculum routinely. Add new functionality to class as software releases or updates require
- Assist with creating and updating course curriculum as appropriate to your expertise
- Research and implement teaching methods to enable the company to deliver support and education in a variety of ways
- Troubleshoot and act as a higher-level product knowledge resource for Customer Care and Sales and Marketing
- Assist in creating customized training sessions for internal external customers.
- Assist in developing documentation, key selling points, demonstrations and education for new product roll out
- Maintain training room to technical standards
Qualifications Include:
- Degree or diploma in field of Education; training in Adult Education is preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered
- Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering, IT or/and Computer Science
- 5 years of industry experience or three plus years of relevant Support or Education experience
- Ability and desire to stay current on developments in Oil Gas industry trends and needs
- Strong interpersonal, prioritization and time management skills
- Proven ability to work and learn independently and participate in cross-departmental, cross-functional teams
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to work independently, generate ideas and put forward initiatives
- Must be able to speak in front of groups and conduct training classes at a technically high level
- Must have knowledge of Windows operating systems, relational databases, Internet functionality
- Professional voice and appearance and interpersonal skills for dealing with customers
