Position Description

787 Flight Training Simulator Instructor. Conducts analyses to evaluate customer flight training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives, design. Oversees the development, delivery and evaluation of flight training. Establishes processes for identifying training content and evaluating training effectiveness. Uses specialized software technology to research, configure, maintain, update and develop new and existing media and materials. Gathers data to support complete proposal development activities. Ensures accuracy and quality of training products. Coaches and develops others. Works under minimal direction. Representative Major Tasks: Reviews and evaluates customer requirements by assessing training needs (e.g., current skill level, experience, environment, equipment) in order to define, develop, and deliver training. Evaluates additional analysis for accuracy, consistency, and content. Provides input for extensive, specialized proposals based on customer requirements and expertise. Develops schedules, interprets statement of work requirements, develops basis of estimate, and assists in negotiations. Assists with proposal development as member of a proposal team. Develops and documents extensive, specialized training objectives (e.g., enabling, supporting, terminal, learning) based on analysis of customer requirements and technical resource data to design training course material. Reviews and evaluates training objectives developed by others. Basic Qualifications For Consideration

Do you have experience as an instructor pilot in simulators or large airline/military jet aircraft?

Do you have a Federal Aviation Administration Airline Transport Pilot (FAA ATP) Rating ( or international or military equivalent) and instructor training experience with at least 2000 hours as Pilot in Command?

Typical Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Job related information

Federal Aviation Administration Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), ICAO or military equivalent. Rating and instructor training experience required. Five years experience with a scheduled/non-scheduled jet transport carrier, corporate jet operator or military aviation equivalent, to include: 2000 hours as PIC, three years instructional and/or evaluating experience, and English language fluency (reading, writing, and conversational) required. Relevant work experiences demonstrating the ability to prepare a lesson plan, interpret and present material, and independently teach an airplane model required. Must be capable of and available for international travel.
