CVA Applicant Support – One year contract role recruitment
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
Primarily, the support of:
- The CVA compute farm (monitoring, capacity management)
- The CVA risk jobs (diagnosing issues, remediating locally where possible)
Also participate in the support of:
- Core (trading) risk production for Credit
Required Skills:
The application will run on a compute farm (a grid using DataSynapse). The support skills required are:
- Understanding of the overall architecture/components
- Monitoring the scheduled execution (at least responding to automated errors and investigating)
- Ability to drive the support toolset
- Ability to use the DataSynapse tools to investigate/resolve/escalate grid-specific issues
- Analysis skills to investigate the application logs to investigate/resolve/escalate issues
- Communication skills for escalation, and accurate status reporting
The skills specific to DataSynapse, the CVA application, and the Credit Derivatives market in general, can be learnt on the job.
Additionally:
Ability to work under pressure in a changing environment
Capable to cope calmly with stressed users facing system issues
Strong sense of issue ownership and business accountability
Problem solving oriented mindset
