CVA Trader VP/Director Level recruitment

 Main Responsibilities:

•     Support the implementation of pricing policy, pricing models and pricing service.

• Participate to the Group and Division operating model for CVA.

• Support CVA execution: booking, trade execution, position management, risk management, risk and finance reporting.

• Support efforts to improve underlying factors such as Credit Data, Market data, and associated policies.

• Develop strong relationships around CVA to ensure stakeholders buy-in, especially with (Credit) Sales, Trading and Risk Management, to facilitate implementation, anticipate and address issues and concerns.

• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the wider financial services industry (with key sector intelligence) and regulatory changes impacting the derivative market (e.g. ICB, BASLE).

• Active engagement in various forums to achieve goals.

• Act at all times in compliance to regulations, internal and external, and adhere to internal standards and processes.

Candidate Profile:

Past Experience

• Significant exposure to a CVA trading role with cross-asset knowledge.

• Strong educational background in a Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or Engineering based discipline

Technical Skills

• A comprehensive understanding of the key drivers affecting CVA and FVA across all products.

• Cross asset knowledge (with past appropriate trading mandate) in Credit, Rates, FX, Equities, Inflation and Derivatives, management of securitisation process and position, implying good knowledge and wide practical experience of the relevant procedures, products and processes in CEM including credit, cash and derivative markets.

• Knowledge of operating model of CVA hedging, and range of options when matching these to business needs.

• Knowledge of key relevant legal, regulatory and statutory requirements and technical interpretation.

• Up-to-date understanding of the wider financial services industry and regulatory changes impacting the derivative market (e.g. ICB, BASLE).

• Good influencing skills and understanding of Sales / Corporate organisations.

• Able communicator, capable of adapting style to suit the audience.

• Structured, autonomous individual, with experience of project related activities.

• Team player, demonstrating adhesion to business plans and models
