Our Corporate Value Advisory (CVA) group helps clients to understand and model the value implications of growth and restructuring decisions, investment choices and commercial negotiations by providing advice around the value of businesses, equity instruments and options.

The Plant Equipment (PE) division in CVA in Melbourne is seeking to recruit a Senior Consultant with a strong quantitative background and interest in tangible assets to work on a broad diversity of assignments with a well established and high profile client portfolio.

The PE Valuation service offering includes:

· Valuations for CVA clients in relation to mergers acquisitions, purchase price accounting, fair value reporting, impairment testing, taxation, insurance, finance and other purposes;
· The provision of valuation support to the other service lines in the firm, including tax, transaction services, corporate advisory restructuring, and private clients, etc.
· Strategic asset management, due diligence and asset advisory services
· Fixed asset register audits and rebuilds

This opportunity will see you join a new division within PwC that is growing at an exceptional rate, with exposure to high calibre clients and the PwC network throughout Australia and overseas. You will be part of a team of forward thinking experts who will assist you build your technical skill set and knowledge of the valuations market. Your primary focus as a Senior Consultant will be to ensure the highest level of service delivery on all engagements. Responsibilities will include:

· Assisting the Partners/Directors prepare client proposals and valuation reports;
· Undertaking valuation projects as part of a larger team of financial valuation experts;
· Working solely on engagements, as well as with other staff and sub-contract personnel;
· Assisting the Directors complete valuation projects and engagements on-time and on-budget;
· Working closely with the business, intangible asset and property valuation professionals;
· Industry and asset research

The successful candidate will be highly analytical, have exceptional problem solving skills and an astute commercial mind set. You will have an enquiring mind as to "how things work" and be able to confidently communicate with a broad range of stakeholders and work effectively as part of a team in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. To be successful in the role you will have a valuation qualification and have completed a valuation, engineering, commerce or finance degree. Currently working in the plant equipment profession will be an advantage. Obtaining a specialist plant equipment valuation qualification (if not already qualified) through the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Australian Property Institute or the American Society of Appraisers, will also be required.
