Cyber Engineer - Position Overview
Years of experience 6+
Education A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or other related scientific or technical discipline. At least Four (4) years of applicable experience may be substituted for the degree.
Active Secret security clearance required (TS Preferred)
Desired certifications: CISSP, Reverse Engineering Malware Certification (GREM),
Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) and
GIAC Certified Forensics Analyst (GCFA).
Duties Project Overview:
* Coordinate with the federal external cyber community
* Distribute analysis tasks
* Review IDS alerts
* Review Network Intelligence information
* Identify trends and issues
* Perform forensic activities
* Conduct Reverse Code Engineering to include static and dynamic analysis
* Write and review cyber threat reports on incidents
Qualifications
General Experience:
* Reverse Code Engineering Experience
* Network security experience
* Familiarity with network protocols and packet captures
* Experience with Wireshark, Snort, and other network level security tools
* Familiarity with Microsoft API and security models
* Cyber threat and fusion analysis
Specialized Experience:
* Forensic analysis experience with EnCase
* NetWitness Investigator
* Ida Pro / Olly Db
* Analyst Notebook.
