Cyber Forensic Specialist 3 Job in Norfolk, Virginia Us

Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Cyber Forensic Specialist Level III to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Norfolk, VA.

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Cybersecurity Solutions Department in the DTD/DES Cybersecurity and Enterprise Services OU, providing assistance to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS).

Resolves highly complex malware and intrusion issues using computer host analysis, forensics, and reverse engineering. Discovers, analyzes, diagnoses, and reports on malware events, files and network intrusion and vulnerability issues. Recommends counter measures to malware and other malicious type code and applications that exploit customer communication systems. conducts reverse engineering for known and suspected malware files. Develops analysis and make recommendations for the purchase of hardware and or software that will mitigate malware intrustions. Develops policies and procedures to investigate malware incidents for the entire computer network. Assists in the development and delivery of malware security awareness products and briefings.

CND Investigative Support Services Group is the authoritative response capability for the NMCI Enterprise Investigations. This group provides assistance and advice to the Navy in all NMCI investigations. The investigations include Requests for Information (RFI's), forensics imaging and analysis, and classified spillage. This position's focus would be email threat mitigation (Spam, Phishing, etc...)

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

* High School and 6 years additional education and/or AA Degree in related discipline

* 3 years of related DoD experience

* DoD 8570 IA certification (CEH, GSNA, or CISA)

* Position requires a current Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

* AA or higher in Computer Science or related Field

* 5 years of related DoD experience

* Position requires a candidate with a current Secret Clearance
