CYBERCOM Operations Assessment Technical Planning and Support (J37)
Members shall provide technical expertise, develop and apply information assurance policy, identify and measure key areas of performance, and provide recommendations on courses of action regarding the effectiveness of CND and cyber operations. To include interfacing with USCYBERCOM senior leaders and their staff, providing strategic analysis and recommendations. Members of this staff are considered experts in network defense, information assurance analysis, network security, operations, and policies.
Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) Compliance
Team members shall interface with CC/S/A/FAs on IAVM compliance status, DOD Information Systems and POAMs from monthly audit. Maintain a technical understanding of and be capable of properly using the Vulnerability Management System (VMS); provide compliance information to the CCRI and Scorecard teams prior to inspections; prepare weekly, monthly, and annual vulnerability compliance reports/matrix/metrics; generate monthly POAM audits on selected IAVAs and CC/S/As FAs; conduct incident research on various; coordinate with all available sources on unacceptable DOD GIG ratings and incidents; generate briefs, watch list, and responses to the watch list; maintain situational awareness of IAVM compliance issues; brief the quarterly CAM watch list; develop, staff, and maintain accurate USCYBERCOM orders e.g., CAMs, CTOs, FRAGOs, etc. and be knowledgeable of and perform functions related to the IAVM Program/SOP, HBSS and Continuous Monitoring.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor;s degree and 5 yrs relevant experience or High school diploma and 9 yrs relevant experience in lieu ofdegree.
- Active Top Secret / SCI Clearance with CI Polygraph
- Experience in application of Information Assurance (IA) and Computer Network Defense (CND) concepts, practices, and tools
- Strong information security/cyber security background.
- Ability to communicate complex technical and programmatic information.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Strong Writing, Presentation and Communication Skills.
- Ability to work well in a team setting.
