Duties and Responsibilities: Threat Detection Analysis and Coordination. Contractor shall be a leading expert in the detection, monitoring, correlation, and prevention of cyber threat activity targeting the GIG. Contractor shall understand the details of Named Areas of interest and advanced persistent threats that impact the GIG with an in-depth knowledge and ability to analyze, track, correlate, harvest, trend, and report on the unique TTPs utilized. Contractor shall undershy; stand the lifecycle of the network threats, attack vectors and methods. Contractor shall be an expert in computer networks them able to understand communication methods and malicious actors/logic. Contractor shall understand the lifecycle of the network threats, attack vectors and methods of exploitation. Contractor shall have specialized knowlshy; edge in computer network theory and understand IT standards, including the OS/model, and the methods of exploitshy; ing those standards. Contractor shall be familiar with the utilization, configuration, and implementation of industry capabilities including web content filters, email security capabilities, IDS, IPS, HBSS, SEIM, DNS security practices, advanced log analysis, network monitoring, network flow analysis, packet capture analysis, network proxies, firewalls, anti-virus capabilities, UNIX command line, and ACL. Contractor shall possess specialized experience and knowledge in incident handling/triage, network analysis and threat detection, trend analysis, metric development, and security vulnerability information dissemination. Preferred certifications for this position include CISSP, CEH, or GIAC. Required Qualifications: Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and five to seven years of related experience within Cybercom or like government activities.
