Data Acquisition (ETL) Architect/Developer Job in Richardson 75080, Texas US

As a member of the Business Analytics and Reporting team, the Data Warehouse ETL Developer will design, structure, and develop PeopleSoft EPM/Datastage data warehouse program logic supporting UT Dallas.  The ETL Developer is responsible for the programs required to extract, transform, clean, and move data and metadata so they can be loaded into a data warehouse, data mart, or operational data store.  In the event of an execution failure, the Data Integration Developer must be able to read job logs and/or any other associated log files.  In addition, he/she should follow pre-defined procedures for addressing the problem, including re-initiating the failed job(s) and/or notifying the Technical Architect and/or Data Warehouse Manager.

Minimum Qualifications: 
1.  BS MIS, CS, or related field required.
2.  Exceptional knowledge of PeopleSoft EPM Data Warehouse, Datastage, and PeopleSoft FIN/HCM data structures.
3. Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, 6+ years experience specifically in data warehouse/decision support ETL Development.
4.  Experience working with Datastage, specifically pre-packaged PeopleSoft EPM data marts, App Designer, and associated ETL logic.
5. Knowledge of both Inmon and Kimball data warehouse methodologies.
6. Knowledge of star schema designs and logical/physical data models
7. Solid understanding of SQL and databases, Indexing, Partitioning, etc.
8. Team player, must be able to work with people within and outside of the I.R. department

Preferred Qualifications:
1.  Masters Degree.
2.  Solid understanding of business (accounting, budgeting, purchasing, etc.) processes and/or educational institutions.
2.  Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions data structures.
3.  Presentation layer tool experience, including OBIEE/Answers.
4.  Experience with Essbase, Analysis Services desired
5.  Perl, and Shell scripting expertise is a plus
