Job Description

We are looking for an experienced analytical consultant to dive deep into pharmaceutical marketing and sales data sets using a combination of Model N's unique software, Microsoft Excel, and other data analysis tools.

The end goal is to use the rich data contained within corporate, IMS, and other data sets to understand our customer's market dynamics and help them deploy marketing and sales resources to achieve their goals.

The result of this understanding will be spreadsheets, presentations, or custom analytical models that can be delivered to pharmaceutical executives.

While not a primary part of the job, the ideal candidate will have the presence to communicate effectively with senior executives, brand teams, or sales management.

The candidate must thrive in an exciting, dynamic start-up environment where business priorities change rapidly and the highest quality deliverables are expected.

 

Key duties include:

- On a scheduled and ad hoc basis, author analyses and presentations that effectively illustrate key findings from available quantitative data.

- Create presentations, spreadsheets or models for executives to drive redeployment of marketing and sales resources to achieve goals.

- Work collaboratively with client executives, brand team, and sales force leaders to deliver insightful presentations with Model N frameworks and software tools.

 

Desired Skills Experience

- Experience working on complex, data-driven assignments that require an ability to understand and navigate time series and cross-sectional data sets.

- In-depth knowledge of Excel and other desktop tools used to manipulate data. Superior ability to build PowerPoint presentations and develop senior level executive presentations.

- Familiarity with the following also desired but not essential: 1) SQL to build, query and analyze data sets, 2) best-practice visualization techniques to communicate effectively using data and 3) statistical concepts and their application.
