The Role:
Bloomberg's Media Licensing and Distribution (MLD) group is seeking a highly creative and motivated individual to serve as a Data Analyst within the Data Product team. The Data Analyst will assist with overseeing all aspects of Data product development and distribution to MLD clients. The MLD group is responsible for licensing Bloomberg content to media clients globally and distribution of Bloomberg Television in the Americas.
This position will work closely with the Data Product Manager in fulfilling key aspects of a market-driven product management process with increased exposure to both the technical aspects of product management as well as the go-to-market and sales channel support aspects. The Data Analyst will work closely with MLD teams (Sales, Marketing) as well as cross-departmentally throughout Bloomberg to ensure practical execution of existing and/or new data product offerings.
Responsibilites
- Support media and broadcast clients in EMEA and APAC who are subscribing to market data feeds for media or broadcast data solution
- Create requirements documentation and design specifications for data products
- Proactively identify original solutions with rapidly evolving technical and product issues
Resolve strategic and tactical issues
- Onboard customers, provide product support and direction to key 2nd level support teams.
- Troubleshoot and liaise with clients and RD to diagnose/resolve data/system problems
- Act as escalation point for client related issues
- Defining project deliverables related to Market Data and infrastructure enhancements and process efficiencies
- General project management
Requirements
- Proven experience and /or knowledge of financial data, preferably across capital markets
- Advanced degree, designation or relevant work experience
- Has a global mindset and effectively collaborates across borders
- Strategic thinking about products, markets and opportunities
- Excellent presentation skills and public speaking skills
- Ability to interact with clients in a confident manner
- Strong relationship project management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Must be able to work in a close team environment as well as manage projects independently
- Must be creative, innovative, self-motivated.
- Ability to occasionally travel to NYC office as needed.
