Once the repositioning is complete; ConocoPhillips will become one of the industry?s largest and most diverse global pure-play exploration and production companies, and; Phillips 66, the downstream company, will become one of the largest U.S.-based refining companies, with integrated operations that also include segment-leading marketing, midstream and chemicals businesses. ConocoPhillips? repositioning is subject to market conditions, customary regulatory approvals, the receipt of an affirmative ruling from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, the execution of separation and intercompany agreements and final board approval. This position will reside within the Information Technology organization of the future ConocoPhillips, the upstream company. : IT Shared Services (ITSS) provides technical services to the global ConocoPhillips network. Data Analysts work within the Lower 48 Upstream Information Technology and Shared Services support organization supporting various Upstream data sets and processes critical to the Business Units and asset teams. Responsibilities may include: The Data Analyst may be responsible for: Managing data in the Lower 48 asset teams. Managing the Business Unit's (BU) petroleum data and associated reports on file servers and databases. Supporting, promoting and documenting all Data Management processes and procedures related to petroleum data. Ensuring the quality, consistency, and accuracy of data in a timely, effective and reliable manner. Working within the larger Upstream ITSS organization by contributing to the capture of synergies and implementation of best practices. Representing ITSS and the BU on issues related to petroleum datasets and petroleum data management in general. Understand user requirements around technical data, interaction of data between systems and system dependencies. Work to ensure high levels of data consistency between systems. Support, promote and document data management procedures and processes. Understand security policies, data life cycle and retention policies. Network with the global technical data community and assist with implementing the global data management strategy
