Title: Data Analyst - Pittsburgh Location: null Other Locations: null Role Description: The Data Analyst will work as part of the Data Team focused on providing usable data Responsibilities: As part of the data preparation process, data validation rules (business rules) will be gathered and programmed to analyze and improve the usability of the source data in an automated fashion. The Data Analyst will be responsible to facilitate and execute this process under the guidance of the Data Team leadership. Key Activities: Conduct business rule gathering workshops with the participation of key business contacts and ERP team members Document, program and implement rules Maintain data scorecards Conduct workshops with business users and ERP team members to provide feedback on overall data Assist in the formatiting, tranforming, consolidating aof source data slated for convesion according to the specifications created by other ERP team members Assist in the generation, formatting, and distribution of data validation checklists and reports Skills and Knowledge: Familarity with basic relational database concepts Ability to write and interpret simple SQL queries Familarity with basic data managment and manipulation techniques Desire to learn new software Ability to prioritize tasks, conduct meetings and conference call based workshops to identify issue resolution steps and processes Must have business experience with the one or more of the following: · Inventory, Materials Management and Item Creation · Purchasing, Inventory, Suppliers, and A/P · Finance/Cash Management/Costing/GL/Fixd Assets · Order to Cash, Customer/Sales, A/R and Shipping · Operations for manufacturing and outside processed products · Maintenance, PM Scheduling, Bills of Materials, and Work Orders CIBER, Inc.
