Data Analyst, Data Quality & On-Boarding (Investment Research) Investment Management recruitment
Seeking candidates with at least 2 years full-time work experience that have exceptionally strong data management, financial services audit, risk management/risk financial control experience within financial services for several highly challening positions w/team leadership opportunity. Positions require very strong SAT math scores of 680 or above (OR) ACT Math of 31 or above. GMAT of 49 or above.

These positions will be responsible for:
Data Quality position:
- Ensuring data quality by researching and resolving data errors, inconsistencies, etc. Will gain an in-depth understanding into what a quality data set looks like in over 70+ markets and most major financial instruments, and how to ensure quality data/gain a solid understanding of data quality metrics.
- Investigating and solving escalated data problems that have occurred both internally and externally
- Kicking off and managing daily data operations responsibilities that include monitoring and importing manual and auto data pulls
- Working with data providers to investigate and solve data errors in over 70+ markets and nearly all major asset classes/instruments
- Interfacing with data providers and internal technology personnel to ensure consistent data connectivity and resolving any issues that may occur
- Continuous process and quality improvement
Data On-board position:
- Sourcing and investigating new data sources for investment research data needs across 70+ global markets and most major financial instruments.
- Learning, understanding, and developing data quality standards for all new data sets
- Working to develop and set-up new proprietary data sets that are utilized in the investment decision process.
- Working closely with other data teams, data vendors, and technology operations employees to ensure smooth transition of data into the system.
- Continuous process improvement
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with a competitive GPA. All candidates must have an SAT "Math" score of at least 680 (OR) and ACT Math score of 30 or above – required. GMAT of 49 or above. Some exceptions will be made for skilled data professionals.
- At least 2 years full-time work experience working in one of the following: in an audit position auditing Investment Banks or Investment Management firms; working in a risk management or financial risk control position; or data management experience (data quality, data content management, data stewardship, information architecture, metadata management, data warehousing, database management, quality grading, modeling, reference data management).
- Highly detail oriented (does not miss/overlook the small details), but is does not forget to look up and see the big picture either.
- Strong client service mentality required.
- Ideal candidates will come from financial or forensic consulting firms (auditors, or from data management teams); data quality positions within finance, data vendors, or data teams from investment managers, hedge funds, think tanks, or other research oriented positions that have data mangement experience.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required: pivot tables, logic statements, etc.
- SQL experience preferred as well as experience with ETL tools.
- Excellent problem solving capability; looking for those that don’t just haphazardly jump in to solve a problem, but are "true" thinkers that will determine what the best approach to the problem is before jumping in and trying to solve, weighing trade-offs carefully.
