Data Analyst (FSCS/SAS)

My client is looking for an experienced Data Manager with strong analytical stills (ideally within SAS). Ideally candidates should have experience within Financial Services Compensation Schemes (FSCS).

The role has responsibility for:
• Defining and executing complex data analysis on source systems
• Producing summaries of analysis and gaps for senior management
• Producing recommendations for data cleansing activity required in order to meet the requirements
• Liaising with the Data Quality and Structural Systems teams (and others) for the execution of data cleansing activities, leading/driving activity and tracking and reporting progress to senior management
• Identifying where technical changes are required in order to deliver the data requirements
• Documenting / reviewing business requirements documents for those technical changes

Further Skills and Experience Required:
- Self-starter with strong technical and business analysis skills
- Proven track record in analysing and interpreting large datasets using Excel, Access and Business objects (SAS desirable).
- Experience with organisational assessment and delivery with the ability to assess impacts and formulate resolution plans
- Experience producing summaries of analysis for senior management
- Experience identifying gaps highlighted by analysis
- Ability to translate analysis into recommendations and written requirements documentation for IT
- Ability to provide recommendations for process/procedural changes
- Knowledge of FSCS Single Customer View regulations and data impacts
- Experience in delivery data quality improvement initiatives
