Description
The Data Analyst will be responsible for data intake, integrity review, categorization and standardization of large data sets. Taking raw data from multiple sources and creating usable and informative reports is major role of this position. Additionally, will use data to interpret, analyze and determine reasonableness of results. Other aspects of the position will include coordination with clients and vendors of data transfer and data quality control. The ability to function in a fast pace environment, with changing priorities, is critical. Collaboration and strong communication with cross functional areas will be vital to meet deadlines and expectations of position. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and possess strong technical and organizational skills and superior attention to detail. Position reports to the Vice President of Analytics.
Responsibilities
· Work with VP of Analytics and directly with consulting staff on data intensive client projects
· Coordination with clients and vendors on movement of data sets
· Bring together multiple data source to create useful information in support of the consulting staff
· Coordinate and provide quality control for production reporting
· Prepare summary spreadsheets and graphics as directed by staff
· Maintain a variety of databases and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements:
· Bachelors Degree preferred or Associates Degree with comparable education and experience (minimum of 3 years)
· 1 to 3 Years of direct SQL programming working with large data sets
· PBM or health plan experience with direct involvement with prescription drug claims
· Advanced Microsoft Office Excel and Access skills, in addition to Word and PowerPoint
· Outstanding ability to multi task, must be well organized and detail oriented
· Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and analytic thinking
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
· Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
· Ability to work with confidential information
Working hours:
Full time exempt position Monday – Friday. Position will be located at the corporate headquarters in Edina, MN.
