Data Analyst (Milton Keynes)

Please note that this role is based in Milton Keynes.

My clients are looking to recruit an experience Data Support Analyst to join their Data Quality team. The team is responsible for the key parameters of the Structural Systems and control of the accounts and customers across the UK Business.

This specific role involves working on the data validation of the integrity of interest calculations. This will involve analysing a number of pieces of data with reference to product Terms Conditions and modelling the resultant calculations.

The ideal candidate will have a financial background, perhaps accountancy or economics, and have experience of working on data modelling. They should have knowledge of Banking products, and be able to comfortably deal with large amounts of data in a controlled manner.

An ethos of Data Quality and attention to accuracy and detail are at the heart of the Department, and the right candidate will be able to demonstrate both from their past experience.

• Extraction and structuring of different elements of source data and perform validations on that data.
• Conduct remodelling of the data.
• Perform 100% accurate calculations on remodelled data and validate those calculations.
• Organise and schedule production and distribution of results.
• Create and sustain effective relationships with all customers and stakeholders.
• Ensure company and departmental policies and processes are adhered to when handling data.

Applicants will be expected to have previous business experience of core banking products, combined with strong, proven skills in analysing, measuring, modelling and reconciling data. A solid understanding of Risk management and control would be expected. If applicants are qualified, or part qualified in accounting, finance or business management it would be beneficial.
