Job Title Data Analyst Oncology/Cardiothoracic, Aurora St. Luke's Facility Aurora Health Care-505 Address 2900 W Oklahoma Ave City Milwaukee State WI County Milwaukee Zip Code 53215 # Hours Per Pay Period (Bi-weekly) 64 Schedule 0800am-5pm Req # (optional) 86630BR Explore a Career In Cancer Services Job Description Imagine Yourself... *Completing the process for timely submission of data at appropriate intervals to the various oncology databases (i.e. STS, ACC) and other registries as required for compliance with membership standards. *Coordinating training sessions to assure that individuals with access to databases can perform data entry and/or reporting functions accurately with respect to data definitions, security and confidentiality. *Performing inter-rater reliability and other data quality measures to assure that the Medical Center's data meets the various database, registry and internal data quality standards. *Participating in performance improvement activities by identifying appropriate data sources for studies, performing data base queries and transferring pertinent data sets to authorized individuals for statistical analysis. *Collaborating with Information Services to facilitate the implementation and on-going technical maintenance of the information systems. *Preparing and presenting specified site data on a routine basis to Administration, site based Quality Council and CV Surgery/Cardiology/Oncology section and other cardiac/cancer teams as requested. *Preparing individual oncology data requests within specified timeline. *Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with the Quality Management Team to improve patient outcomes including active participation on work-groups. *Assisting with Oncology module including training, data conversion and education with IS. *Performing data collection relating to patients using appropriate data collection forms and computer software. *Obtaining and evaluating data from outpatient clinics, physician offices, and health care facilities for data collection for reporting. *Maintaining accurate data base records of oncology surgery patients as defined by nationally recognized societies.(STS) *Supports data collection for cardiolgu services as needed.
