Responsibilities
The Data Analyst provides clients with resolution and explanations of product and Moody's Ratings data-related inquiries in a timely manner. The Data Analyst will work in cooperation with the US and Asia teams during business and non-business hours. Responsibilities in this role include, but not limited to, querying SQL databases, working with system developers and other internal staff to troubleshoot processes, monitoring transactions 24 hours 7 days a week, and developing other data related projects and initiatives. Potential growth expansion into other Moody's Analytics support roles.

Qualifications
-The ideal candidate should have a degree in Computer Science or Mathematics with exposure to Finance and Economics; alternatively, candidates should have a degree in Finance, Financial Mathematics, Economics, with significant database development experience.
-Expert in SQL programming. Able to program or read Java and related technologies is a plus.
-Strong research and problem solving skills, takes initiative, and communicates effectively, both orally and in writing. Experience in dealing with complicated scenarios and explaining them in a clear and concise manner.
-Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients, particularly under pressure. Ideal candidate should feel comfortable speaking to external parties and handling confidential and sensitive data.
-Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy.
-Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
-Fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
