Overview

Global Credit (GC) at Deutsche Bank is one of the largest players in the Credit Derivatives market, with new franchises or product lines continually being developed and marketed by the front office. 

The GC business is currently supported by a number of teams / locations across Global Business Services (GBS) which include desk support, middle office, risk and Profit and Loss (PL), trade review / control, monthly management reporting and Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV) statutory accounts preparation. This role is aligned with the team responsible for GC London trade feeds into Regulatory reporting systems so that the bank can publish group accounts and calculate risk and exposure. This specific role will be focused on 2012 / 13 International Financial Reporting Standards 7 (IFRS7) disclosures process and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for facilitating the IFRS7 fair value hierarchy reporting process as a Data Analyst. Key responsibilities will include:

• Working with the GBS lead and database developer, to assist in the analysis of complex data for the new IFRS7 disclosure processes that will be developed for Q3/4 2012 and 2013.

• Providing ongoing analysis support for the GC Financial Data Disclosures Team (FDDS) team.

• Assist with User Acceptance Tasting (UAT) of new process and testing of both input and output.

• Ensure successful transition to production / steady-state environment and knowledge transfer of new process before the end of the contract period.

• Assist in the analysis of large volume complex banking data to determine data quality and effectiveness for functional solutions prior to development.

You will use your strong mathematical background and prior experience of structured credit products in this role.

Candidate requirements

You will have:

• A solid background of working in financial services or accounting.

• A good working knowledge of the front to back system architecture within an investment bank.

• Strong data analysis skills through the use of Excel (pivot tables, VBA etc)

• An analytical mindset and good approach to problem solving.

• The ability to work under pressure, understand complex business specifications as well as data requirements and work to tight deadlines.

• Specific accounting experience or exposure to IFRS 7 (preferred)

You will be:

• Degree Qualified or equivalent (Mathematical discipline preferred)

• A self starter and ability to communicate well across different groups at all levels.
