Macquarie Securities Group (MSG) encompasses Macquarie's institutional stockbroking, equity derivatives and equity finance activities. Covering over 2,200 stocks globally, the business continues to grow into new markets, products and distribution channels with the opportunity for a Data Analyst to join the business now available.
You will be responsible for:
- managing a range of administrative and client-servicing responsibilities
- providing clients with daily, weekly and monthly global data files as well as ensuring the data is of high quality
- responding to ad-hoc data requests from clients and internal analysts locally and offshore
- checking published/company data against information contained in the database and following up on discrepancies
- assisting with IT projects for research and assist with other business/team initiatives as required
You will:
- submit a covering letter and concise resume (as one document)
- hold appropriate business/commerce qualifications and Advanced MS Excel
- display strong technical and analytical abilities, enjoy data mining, are flexible, resourceful and commercial in your work approach
- have gained some experience in a business environment where database maintenance and manipulation has been a requirement
- enjoy a team-based culture, can demonstrate initiative, able to multi-task as well as cope well in a fast-paced business environment
- be detail oriented, accurate and methodical
- possess sound verbal and written communication skills
