DATA ANALYST - SQL and Excel - London
My client, a top-tier investment bank, is seeking a data analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. The current team is responsible for providing all the trades and positions of all equity and equity-related products to the group compliance team in order to ensure the monitoring and regulatory reporting of the shareholdings. The successful candidate will be required to run SQL queries to extract relevant data and to create a number of daily reports, in addition to covering projects within the large holdings compliance team.
Responsibilities:
Interpret and check the holdings of equity and equity-related products using a SQL query
Respond to position requests from other compliance areas about the shareholdings or various issuers
Create Takeover Panel Reporting using Access database
Verify shareholding before disclosure to the regulator
Project manage Large Holdings initiatives
Skills/Requirements
Experience of a similar role in a similar environment
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
Strong Excel and SQL skills
Able to face off to the technology side as well as the business
In depth knowledge of how a trade is structured
Equity product knowledge beneficial
