The Data Analyst/Developer will be responsible for working directly with business customers to assist in data analysis and modeling.
Essential Job Functions:
§ Support our business in testing potential analytical hypotheses and models for applicability to mission
§ Assist business in mapping logical data needs to available data sources
§ Provide expertise in model hardening and rollout
§ Commitment to ensuring technical solutions meets / exceeds customer expectations, and is in alignment with technology department strategies.
§ Ensure compliance with standard software development practices, processes and enterprise standards.
Education / Experience Requirements:
§ Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
§ 7 - 10 years of hands-on development experience in data modeling, data analysis, data mining and data warehousing
§ 5 - 7 years of backend PL/SQL development on large unstructured data sets including query performance tuning.
§ Experience working with data mining / data modeling software.
§ Analytical/statistical function knowledge
§ Excellent problem identification, analysis and solving skills.
§ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Desired Skills:
§ Experience working with link analysis tools
§ Experience with No-SQL technologies and methodologies such as Hadoop
§ Experience with business intelligence software
§ Financial services knowledge.
