Role Summary/Purpose
The Data Architect – Business Intelligence will serve as a technical expert in the development of the enterprise data warehouse. Assists the systems development process, including planning and monitoring development efforts, reviewing deliverables and communicating to management. Ensures users' effective, accurate and easy access to data; translates users information requirements into system specifications.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Analyze business needs and information requirements, define optimum system requirements to meet business needs, and prioritize and manage new requirements
  • Develop detailed analysis, design, construction and testing specifications ensuring technical compatibility and integration
  • Conduct business analysis, event modeling, logical and physical database design, database optimization, load strategy design and implementation, security and change management
  • Assist the systems development process, including planning and monitoring development efforts, reviewing deliverables, and communications to management
  • Ensure users' effective, accurate and easy access to data; translate user information requirements into data. Verifies decision support program specifications with users for reliability, accuracy and functionality

    Qualifications/Requirements
    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 4 years of IT experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in data warehousing
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in relational data warehousing design

    Desired Characteristics

  • IMLP graduate (internal)
  • Experience in normalized and dimensional logical modeling.
  • Experience in analyzing source system, data flows, and delivering data architecture designs.
  • Possesses SQL skills
