NCI: As the Data Architect for NCI in Philadelphia PA, your prior experience with Defense Medical Logistics (DML) will be essential in your success with supporting the government customer. Your Data Architect knowledge and guidance is needed to providing expertise in program analysis, making recommendations, facilitating implementing standardization processes and supporting enterprise data services under the JIMI task. Highlights of responsibilities Follow the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) V2.0 Operational Views and System Views to create the context and will use the Data and Information Viewpoint (DIV) to provide a means of portraying the operational and business information requirements and rules that are managed within and used as constraints on the organizations business activities. Establish the processes needed to create the DIV-1 Conceptual Data Model, DIV-2 Logical Data Model and DIV-3 Physical Data Model, including a scan of comparable processes. Create a DML Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Strategy Roadmap to implement the Enterprise Data Strategy by documenting a prioritization process and criteria, assisted by the scan of comparable processes to identify common pitfalls to avoid and lessons learned. Develop a metadata taxonomy, develop data reference artifacts, and implement a metadata repository. Create a DML-wide Enterprise Data Strategy, including validating a set of Guiding Principles, documenting the business benefits and process requirements, documenting the organizational strategy requirements, documenting the DML Data Systems Architecture Target State and the required Data Architecture Services. Define EDM implementation priorities, a project baseline, and a mobilization plan, as well as identifying potential impact on other DML initiatives. Will maintain and update the Roadmap. Generate Operational process documentation of the lifecycle of the data management function, Data management recommendations regarding the structuring of an enterprise-level data management capability that supports the ?Provide information? mission thread, Applicable DoDAF views and relevant data reference artifacts, such as, logical and physical data models, metadata repository implementation, data management roadmap development and maintenance, and implementation of an enterprise data strategy, and Monthly status reports. Work standard hours at the Philadelphia PA office. Requirements Must have a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain one). BS Degree in related field. 10 years progressive experience in the associated field. 5 years as a Data Architect. Experience with ARIS Enterprise Architecture within a DoD environment. Experience with Informatica and ASG-Rochade management solutions. Preferred Education and Experience Masters Degree with 6 years experience in an associated discipline preferred. Experience in Enterprise Architecture / DoDAF preferred. ARIS Enterprise Architecture experience in DoD Logistics preferred. Experience with Informatica and ASG-Rochade preferred.
