Data Architect Job in Indianapolis, Indiana US
Job Description: The Data Architect will serve as gatekeeper to the firm’s databases and help develop SQL Server based solutions using T-SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services, and SQL Server Integration Services.
Essential Functions:
· Build robust data driven solutions ranging from reports to building warehouses
· Informally lead aspects around how we manage data
· Provide estimates for development effort needed
· Build quality business solutions in a timely manner
· Coordinate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, determine needs and project scope
· Work remotely with IT team who reside in different offices
· Manage multiple assigned tasks/projects with minimal supervision
· Additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent work experience
· 5+ years of comparable work experience
· Must be highly proficient with SQL Server technologies
· Experience with T-SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analytical Services (SSAS), SQL Server Administration, and Windows Administration required
· Experience with C# or VB.Net desired, but not required
· Ability to gather requirements
· Ability to performance tune database applications
· Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot data related issues
· Ability to prioritize conflicting demands
· Must be able to work independently on projects and within a remote team environment
· Execute assigned projects within established deadlines
· Maintain effective relationships with business stakeholders and team members
· Desire to learn new technologies and enhance existing ones
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Self-motivated and assertive
· Have ability to travel on occasion based on business needs
