Job Description:

Data Architect Needed for Global Media and Entertainment Company in Los Angeles!

This is a technology driven division that builds cutting-edge music, movie and all types of media applications utilized by all aspects of the entertainment industry.

You will be responsible for the design and implementation of the enterprise data architecture on a corporate level.

Must have the following experience:

- 5+ years with Data/Information architecture and the ability to create enterprise data architectures for large enterprise databases
- Experience in building and managing a data warehouse at a large-data company, ideally working in multiple geographies
- Hands-on experience in data modeling, including both relational and dimensional modeling
- Hands-on experience in leading the design, development and maintenance of databases and database interfaces
- Experience with industry standard Business Intelligence tools
- Technology agnostic - SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Masters Preferred

What you'll be doing:

- Define and shape the information vision – work with senior leaders to understand business data needs, and integrate those into information architecture
- Define standards, processes and governance in support of information vision, including technical standards
- Create an information implementation plan – assessing current systems and processes
- Work with the Metadata operations group to help resolve issues and structure proper governance and processes around Metadata
- Build a Global data dictionary containing common business definition for each field and clarifying technical versus business terminology
- Travel - 1 to 3 trips per year - both domestic and international
