The Global Business Technology Strategy (GBTS) team combines custom technology solutions with creativity to produce robust applications that enhance all aspects of the guest experience. From one of the most sophisticated hotel reservation systems in the world to Disney Cruise Line shipboard systems, Disney Vacation Club member services, FastPass ticketing, PhotoPass, and even inventory applications to ensure we have the right number of Cast costumes.

The Data Architect Specialist, will support and demonstrate data analysis activities for complex and integrated sets of package and custom applications focused on guest information to support marketing, sales, reservation, property management, and scheduled events / dining activities. They will provide data usage scope analysis (CRUD matrix), source-to-target mapping, data profile analysis, data quality cleansing assessment, test data and scenario assistance. They will also be responsible for developing data analyst deliverables in conjunction with lifecycle methodology, individual project schedules and Data Governance team activities
- Understand business requirements through requirement sessions and the review of Use Case documentation
- Demonstrated strong written oral communication skills with emphasis on negotiating, influencing and partnering capabilities with technical and business resources at multiple levels
- Use of excel spreadsheets (i.e. source-to-target mappings, validate valid domain values, etc.)
- Experience and knowledge with SQL for data analysis activities
- Understand business processes to help determine data integration activities
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities simultaneously
- Familiar with Relational databases (Oracle, IBM DB2, SQL Server Informix)
- Experienced with Extract, Transform Load processing (ETL)
- Experienced with data and process modeling
- Providing project teams with valid/cleansed test data
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Must function effectively and influence others in a team environment
- Extensive experience with large IT integration projects
- Experience with performing data analysis by using data modeling tool (i.e. Embarcadero, Erwin, etc.)
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
