Summary: Pitney Bowes Presort Services has many SQL Servers that process large volumes of data. Applicants would need to have extensive experience using Microsoft SQL Server technologies and would need to be able maintain and enhance current database systems and processes. Applicant will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance of logical data models and physical databases and database code to support business needs. This position will require an individual who can work with minimal supervision on a wide range of projects interfacing with development teams, business analysts, management and members of the business community while constantly ensuring that their work is aligned with the company's strategic goals and direction. Applicant will be expected to stay current on database technology while also continuing to grow their knowledge of our business. Applicants need to have a flexible can-do attitude, be self-sufficient, and be able to create solid working relationships across other business and technical teams. · Create logical and physical data models. · Create and maintain database systems. · Performance tune database code and SQL Servers.. · Perform database code reviews and ensure coding standards are met and maintained. · Provide database expertise across OLAP and OLTP projects. · Build and support data warehouse systems. · Develop and maintain strong working relationship with key business users including Executive staff · Communicate effectively to all levels of the organization; influence change as needed · Use appropriate change management procedures Use and comply with all policies and processes in the organization.
