THE COMPANY
A global brokerage firm that specialises in electronic trading is looking to recruit a data centre manager / technician. My client has office in almost all of the World's premier financial hubs and is expanding their headcount in London in response to client demand.
THE ROLE
As the data centre manager / technician you will be tasked with managing the data centres and taking racking and cabling duties off of the server support team. This is a brand new position and my client will be looking to build a team around the successful candidate. My client has two datacentres in their London offices and another in Bromley, a short journey from Victoria station. You will be covering both of these premises.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Racking
* Cabling
* Power delivery and resilience
* Security
* Documentation
* Air-conditioning
* UPS - Uninterruptable Power Supply
REQUIREMENTS
* Previous experience working in a data centre environment
* Racking and cabling experience
* Knowledge of Cisco technology
* Experience working with Wintel technology
* Experience implementing data centre procedures
* Good documentation writing skills
