We are looking for a Data Conversion Developer to work in the Corporate Headquarters in Horsham, PA. The main purpose of this position is to help us extract, analyze and import data from our customer’s old Practice Management and EHR systems into Office Practicum.
Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing databases from other products so we can import existing patient demographics and medical records into our system.
- Adding support for new interfaces to outside entities. For example, our clients need to exchange medical records with lab companies, payment clearinghouses, immunization registries, and health information exchanges. We need to obtain specifications from these entities and figure out how to supply information to them in the formats they require.
- Compiling reports from the data we already collect into electronic formats that are acceptable to the agencies and other entities that are demanding them.
- Implementing user interface improvements and standardization.
- Cross-checking bug reports, attempt to identify causes, and (in consultation with an experienced programmer) implement/test corrections.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Delphi (an object-oriented version of Pascal) and using an open source SQL back end.
- Very conversant in object-oriented programming methodologies such as C#, C++, Java.
- Knowledge of portal programming using standards-compliant portlets, such as Hibernate or Liferay.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in a technical domain.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. We work as a team.
- The ideal candidate is a self-starter with analytical, planning and problem solving skills.
