Data Governance Manager recruitment
Our client, a leading bank, is looking for a Data Governance Manager to join its team to establish a unite responsible for managing the identification, research and remediation of data quality issues throughout application data of critical financial systems, by working closely with key business and IT Enterprise Architect Office team to research, remediate and monitor data quality issues impacting the business.
Job responsibilities will be, but not limited to:
- Build the Data Governance Unit
- Write policy
- Develop implement data quality strategies in line with business strategy and objectives
- Developing communication strategy, identifying implementing best practice globally
- Liaise with IT Enterprise Architect Office Team and business management to develop data quality standards
- Establish reporting and communication channels that support data governance activities
- Proactively manage day to day quality compliance monitoring of identification, in depth research and remediation efforts
- Drive defect remediation and new development intake prioritization activities
- Manage data governance portal build outs and operational model refinement
- Manage a team of Data Governance Officers
To be considered for this position, candidates must be degree educated with at least ten years working experience in database application development, process design, data quality, ETL development or data migration. Candidates should have experience of operational management of large scale data integration, data warehouseing or data governance. Experience with data quality management techniques is essential and an understanding of System Development Life Cycle. Project Management qualifications are advantageous. Excellent English communication both written and verbal is essential.
