Data Handling Specialist

This is a temporary position of undetermined length at UTTR (Utah Test and Training Range).

Job Description:

This position is for a Data Handling Specialist responsible for transferring test data to the test data storage system. Responsibilities for this position are running scripts on Windows and UNIX computing systems, entering the status of the data movement into an excel spread sheet and reporting the status via a daily e-mail. Responsibility also requires transporting data via hard drive between test sites. Duties will also include assistant test conductor. This requires good attention to detail and ability to maintain focus during long test missions.

Required Skills:

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel

Must be reliable and dependable

Must have excellent organizational skiils and pro-active problem solving skills

Must be self motivated

Must be competent in processing data efficiently and accurately

Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance

Required Education (including Major):

Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
