Data Implementation VP recruitment

Our client, a leading investment management firm, is seeking a Data Implementation VP to work within theirEdinburghteam. The department is responsible for the set-up and maintenance of all new portfolios on various platforms and for ensuring the ongoing integrity of the data. The team works closely with multiple groups across the business to ensure that client and fund data requirements are understood and implemented. The Data Implementation VP will be responsible for building and overseeing the team. In addition to the leadership role, this person will perform day-to-day portfolio data implementation responsibilities as part of the production process, and will work with the global team on projects and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities of the Data Implementation VP:

- Day to day management of the team ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and accurately

- Ensure that activities are allocated efficiently across the team

- Identify training requirements and build training plans accordingly for the team

- Engage with other team leads across the globe to ensure that processes remain in line globally and that resources are being fully utilised

- Provide senior management with MIS on a timely basis

- Take an active part in the various projects and integration activities that the group are involved with

Background of the Data Implementation VP:

- Previous experience of managing staff, either as manager or supervisor

- Experience working directly within investment/asset management, asset servicing or similar essential

- Experience working within an investment data capacity essential

- Experience working within a project environment preferable but not essential

- Experience working within a transitions/implementations/fund launch capacity preferable but not essential

- Experience improving process and identifying weaknesses in an existing process

This is a permanent Monday - Friday role for a Data Implementation VP paying an excellent salary plus bonus and benefits.
