Data Manager for Financial Data — one vacancy in London, United Kingdom or Nice, France

The successful candidate will manage data for the distribution of indices within different asset classes and for the implementation of systematic portfolio strategies. The data manager oversees data purchasing activity and contract management with data providers, and is responsible for data dissemination through third party data vendors, including pass-through agreements. The role also involves the coordination of data architecture, data access methods, and data integration across different production and development projects. The data manager is in charge of business relations with data providers and will have frequent interaction with the research and development team as well as the calculation team.

The position requires previous experience of at least five years in managing financial data, including experience in managing data purchasing activities or in using data vendors for data distribution. The position also requires excellent knowledge of financial data (accounting data, fundamental data, market data) and data quality issues, and familiarity with financial data providers and data feeds. Technical knowledge is required in the area of database management (MySQL, MS-SQL, etc) and languages (SQL).
