Data Migration Analyst

A position has arisen within our business transformation project team for Private Equity, Real Estate and Infrastructure Fund Services (Global Asset Management) based in London. The role will focus on data migration and on-boarding for system consolidation; specifically data extraction, manipulation, import and reconciliation. The role will have interaction with stakeholders in various jurisdictions globally.
Key responsibilities and deliverables:
- Performance tasks: calculation of periodic performance data, attribution and composites.
- Upfront planning and coordination of on-boarding/migration activities to understand mapping, data and reporting requirements for funds in scope.
- Data extraction from legacy systems (external and proprietary).
- Data manipulation to map and reformat source data to relevant reconciliation and upload formats.
- Data validation and upload of data using primary system data import utility. May require manual input as required.
- Reconcile data set in primary system against historical source data.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and SMEs to resolve data discrepancies, reconciliation and reporting issues.
- Communicate status, issues, risk for tasks assigned to project manager and appropriate stakeholders.
Role requirements:
For this position we are looking for an experienced and proactive performance professional. Our ideal candidate must have the following background and abilities:
- Prior experience in CRM and financial data migration from a similar environment is essential – Asset Management or Private Equity.
- High aptitude in analytical and problem solving skills with strong preference for accounting data migration required.
- Preferably educated to degree level or equivalent with knowledge of Private Equity and Fund Administration.
- Must have the ability to work proactively, meet deadlines, establish priorities and concentrate on detailed information.
- Must be technically competent in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel at advanced “macro” / VBA level.
- Experience with Investran software highly advantageous.
